Take a read through some of our frequently asked questions

This very special, nurturing and safe environment is a quiet clinic space set apart from the main house

Is there parking?

Yes - there are spaces for 2 cars on the driveway. If there are already 2 cars on the driveway, please wait in your car until the previous patient has finished and left. Laura often waits at the gate anyway.

Can I still attend if I'm on my period?

If you have an idea as to when your period is due, it may not be appropriate if you are on days 1 or 2 or your flow is heavy. But a light flow is absolutely fine, there are period products in clinic you can access and a separate bathroom.

What if I need the toilet during the appointment?

There is a bathroom in the clinic, patients do utilise this often.

Is the clinic accessible?

There are ramps all the way to the clinic door, the ramps have non slip bars and there are hand rails along the way.

What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?

Please wear anything comfortable. If you know you’ll need to check exercises, shorts or sports leggings would be appropriate. For an internal assessment, we use a towel to cover your pelvis and your bottom half clothing would need to be removed.

Do I need a referral from my GP or consultant?

No, you are able to self-refer into this practice. There’s no need for a GP or consultant referral to book an appointment.

How long are appointments?

Appointments typically last between 45–50 minutes, allowing plenty of time for assessment, treatment and advice without feeling rushed.

Do you accept health insurance?

Unfortunately, I do not accept health insurance such as Bupa or Aviva. All appointments require prepayment. However, if you have a cash plan, you can submit your receipt to your company for reimbursement.
